Introduction with the increasing demand for glass products in people's production and life, as an important part of glass deep processing, people put forward higher and higher requirements for glass cleaning equipment. Taking the transformation of glass washing equipment (produced in 1999) made in Italy as an example, this paper expounds how to transform this kind of equipment

Yanhua glass washing equipment made in Italy (1999) is a relatively simple type of glass washing equipment. Most of the equipment directly adopts the electrical control system, the control principle is backward, the wiring is complex, and its maintenance and improvement are difficult. With the aging of electrical components, the number of faults increases, and it is difficult to find faults, which can no longer meet the production. Recently, we used PLC control system in the transformation of Yanhua glass washing equipment (produced in 1999), which has stable performance and low cost. The fault display function is added, which greatly improves the reliability of equipment operation and makes equipment maintenance convenient

2 equipment working principle and transformation scheme

2.1 equipment process flow

the main role of deep processing washing equipment in production is to wash the cut glass in the glass, and then send it to various processing equipment for processing. Its washing capacity is an important guarantee to ensure the quality of deep processing of glass. Its working principle: the glass is sent to the washing bin by transmission, washed by water, and then sent to the air drying room for air drying. The ability of washing and air drying are two important parameters of washing machines, but the application of plastic machinery cannot be satisfied in our ordinary days

2.2 control requirements

Yanhua glass washing equipment (1999) made in Italy is a relatively simple type of glass washing equipment. Most of the equipment directly adopts the electrical control system, and the control principle is backward. After years of application, we find that it mainly has the following problems:

1. Control simplicity improves the strength, weather resistance and fatigue life of steel for wheels, axles and bogies, and realizes batch production orders. Many important parameters cannot be introduced into control, and product performance cannot be guaranteed by artificial means

2. The air drying fan adopts star and triangle startup, with large starting current and high energy consumption

in view of its existing problems, we decided to use PLC and soft starter to control it. Its advantages are as follows:

1. Add height parameters on the washing machine, and use the resistive height measuring instrument to transmit the height back to PLC. PLC can adjust the height for different products to achieve the purpose of more thorough washing

2. Water temperature and air volume are reuse parameters to ensure the quality of glass washing. The water temperature of the washing machine is transmitted back to the PLC. When the water temperature and air volume reach a certain level, the glass is allowed to be sent to the washing bin, effectively ensuring the washing capacity

3. Use solenoid valve to control circulating water and deionized water, and automatically adjust according to production, effectively saving water consumption

4. Transmit the fault signal to PLC. In case of fault, it is convenient to find and effectively ensure production

5. Use Siemens soft starter

4 conclusion:

after the system was put into operation in June 2004, the equipment operates stably and reliably, and when the maximum output of the equipment is reached, It can also meet the quality requirements of various brands of products, greatly improve the production efficiency and get good results
