Tire export enterprises need to pay attention to the new EU regulations

recently, the European Commission issued the relevant tire labeling regulations ec1222/2009. Since November 1, 2012, car tires, light truck tires, truck tires and bus tires sold in the EU must be labeled to indicate the fuel efficiency, rolling noise and wet grip of the tires. This regulation has standardized the three performances of tires: fuel economy (i.e. tire rolling resistance requirements), which is divided into 7 grades from a to G; The grip level of wet pavement is divided into 6 levels from a to f; The road noise level is divided into three levels according to the specified test noise value: n ≤ LV-3, LV-3 < n ≤ LV, n > LV, which are represented by black labels. The goal is to reduce European energy consumption by 20% by 2020

in recent years, the European Union has increasingly increased the safety and environmental protection requirements for imported tires. This regulation is another strict limit after the European Union reach regulation limits the content of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons used in tires. At present, the EU has become an important market for China's export tires. Take Jiangsu as an example. Jiangsu is an important base for China's tire production, and its tire export volume ranks second in the country. In 2010, Jiangsu's tires exported to the EU accounted for 26.9% of the export volume, ranking first. Therefore, the implementation of a series of EU regulations on the tire industry will have a certain impact on China's tire exports to the EU

for this reason, the inspection department suggests that: first, tire enterprises exporting to the EU should attach great importance to and carefully study the new regulations related to experimental tires in the EU, actively formulate relevant countermeasures, improve the quality control system and the testing platform of relevant projects, and improve the technology from the production process, and actively improve the environmental protection performance of products; At the same time, we should speed up the development of foreign emerging markets, especially by loosening the oil return valve. In particular, ASEAN, India and other countries that have signed a free trade fund spray free team with China, which has successfully helped dozens of customers achieve the material upgrading agreement from spray to spray free, and implement the "diversification" strategy to reduce the risk of excessive concentration of tire export market. Second, the inspection and quarantine departments should strengthen the tracking of REACH regulations and tire labeling regulations, give full play to the advantages of information and technology, and do a good job in providing technical services to tire enterprises exported to Europe. Third, the relevant standard formulation departments should also speed up the implementation progress of EU tire labeling regulations and reach regulations, establish and implement new norms in the field of tire technology that are in line with international regulations, and improve the safety and international competitiveness of China's automobile tires. And hold a special meeting to arrange and deploy
